Pet Boarding

Bogue Animal Hospital provides more than comprehensive veterinary care. We’re determined to meet all the needs that you may have as a pet owner. We understand how hard it can be to leave your pet when you’re away; that’s why we provide dog and cat boarding services. Your pet has the added benefit of boarding with a veterinarian-supervised team and staying where they can see the familiar faces of our veterinary staff.

We’re committed to providing comfortable accommodations for your pet by placing them in the best space for their size, personality, and behavioral needs. If you have any special requests, just let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. You can make your boarding reservation online or contact our hospital at 316-722-1085 to talk with one of our team members.

Cat Boarding

We have a special area just for our cat guests, complete with stainless steel cages, rubber mats, and litter pans that are cleaned and changed daily. We keep our cat cages in our “room with a view,” which has a large window that looks outside. Depending on the population and temperament of the cats staying with us, we alternate cages so our cat patients can enjoy some time outside of their cages to relax and play, one at a time.

We provide iVet Life Stage Diets at no additional charge. If your cat has special needs or if they’re “finicky” eaters, feel free to bring your cat’s favored brand of food. You may also bring your kitty’s special toy or blanket to make them feel at home, but make sure that your personal items are clearly labeled with your pet’s first and last name.

For all cat boarders, we require:

  • Proof of vaccination on file prior to check-in (must be current)
  • Up-to-date rabies vaccine
  • Up-to-date feline distemper vaccine
  • Negative fecal exam (stool specimen check) within the last year

Dog Boarding

Our dog ward contains a number of stainless steel cages complete with rubber mats. The cages vary in size, so your dog will be placed in one that’s appropriate for his or her temperament, size, and needs. For larger dogs, we have runs that can accommodate them comfortably. These come into two different sizes. Cages are cleaned throughout the day and dogs are taken out for walks and personal attention 4-5 times a day.

We offer iVet Life Stage Diets for dogs at no additional charge, but of course we welcome you to bring your dog’s regular food, if preferred. We’ll feed dogs based on the schedule and serving size they’re accustomed to. If you choose to bring a toy or blanket to help your dog feel at home, please be sure that it is labeled clearly with your pet’s full name.

For all dog boarding guests, we require:

  • Proof of vaccination on file prior to check-in (must be current)
  • Up-to-date rabies vaccine
  • Up-to-date distemper/parvo vaccine
  • Up-to-date Bordetella vaccine
  • Fecal exam completed within one year of visit

If you have any questions about our boarding services or if you’d like to make a boarding reservation, feel free to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
